NEVER FORGET! This saying is why I wanted to start this blog. We all have stories that our parents have shared. If we don't record these stories they will be lost to those who come 'after' us! I know that each of you have stories I have never heard. I not only want to hear them, I want them recorded & passed on to my children & their children. To do it alone would be a HUGE, daunting project, together WE as a FAMILY can do anything!

GRANT - Thistle & Plaid
THE CLAN GRANT
We ALL come from noble heritage! As I have worked to find our Ancestors the more I learn about them the more I love them.
Many of you are also "digging" through the past trying to identify "those who came before" us! I am not the first & I hope not the last to search the census records, Ancestry.com, micro film, fish & Google!
Some of my Amazing Grant Cousins have filled pages & pages of names, dates & places. From those pages I found where our Jessup Ancestors were deeded a piece of land on Long Is., N.Y. On a recent trip (before Hurricane 'Sandy'!!!) I was able to stand with my Daughter Jennifer on the beach our Ancestors settled! In the nearby town of Quogue, NY there is a Jessup Ave. & we were shown the restored Homestead of the Jessup family. We were invited to come back for "Founders Day" celebration which is aka Jessup Family Day!
Even though the name of the Ave. is Jessup, the road still leads to our Grant Ancestors!
SO.....HERE IS THE FIRST 'GAME'
Any of you that have 'stood' where one of 'Our People' have been share the place, the people alive & dead that have walked the same road!!!
So "THE GAMES AFOOT"!!!!!
